012026 Tell Congress: Revoke Nick Sortor's White House Access

Nick Sortor, a 27-year-old rightwing influencer with 1.2 million X followers, recently posted what appears to be an admission that he drove his truck at protesters in Minneapolis, writing he "had no choice but to go anyway," despite people standing in front of his vehicle.

Instead of distancing itself from Sortor, the Trump administration has embraced him. He attended a White House influencer roundtable on "antifa." When he was arrested in Portland, the White House press secretary defended him from her podium. The attorney general ordered an investigation on his behalf. He received a personal message from Trump: "Great job. We're behind you 100%."

If the Trump administration won’t cut ties with violent right-wing extremists like Sortor, it’s up to Congress to act. Tell Congress: Investigate the administration's relationship with Nick Sortor and revoke his White House access.

The administration's full-throated support continues despite Sortor's troubling background:

  • Active warrant status - Kentucky issued an arrest warrant after he absconded from probation

  • Criminal convictions - Multiple DUIs and a conviction for criminal mischief related to violence against a woman

  • Pattern of escalation - Repeatedly accused of instigating physical confrontations at protests for video content

  • Celebrating violence - Posts like "LMAO! More and more leftists are getting SPRAYED in the face" and "This is SO satisfying to watch. NO MERCY!"

Experts say there's a "direct line" between content from influencers like Sortor and violent federal actions in Minneapolis and beyond. The Southern Poverty Law Center warns his goal is creating content that "falsely label their perceived enemies as domestic terrorists."

Meanwhile, the administration threatens cities that resist, awards him access to crime scenes before local media, and amplifies his partisan content through official channels.
