022426 Tell Rubio: Investigate The Abuse Of Mohammed Ibrahim

A 15-year-old American boy from Florida was arrested by Israeli soldiers during a raid on his family's West Bank home. Nine months later, Mohammed Ibrahim was released — severely malnourished, infected with scabies, and hospitalized immediately. He told family members and US consular officers that he and other minors in his cell were beaten, threatened, pepper-sprayed, and denied adequate food and medical care.

Fifteen members of Congress — including Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Ron Wyden — have written to Secretary Rubio demanding answers: Has the State Department met with Mohammed? Has the US requested an impartial investigation? Has anyone been held accountable? So far, the State Department has said nothing about the abuse.

Mohammed Ibrahim is an American citizen. He was a child. The US government's silence is not acceptable.
