042826 Demand full humanitarian aid access and an end to violence (Mercy Corps)

The ongoing, brutal conflict in Sudan has forced more than 12 million people from their homes, disrupted access to food and water, and left families facing unimaginable hardship and uncertainty.

Famine has been confirmed in El Fasher and Kadugli. It could spread further as violence and aid access continues to be restricted. More than 21 million people across the country are struggling to eat — including 6.3 million experiencing emergency level hunger, one step away from famine.

Sudan is one of the world’s fastest deteriorating hunger crises, with needs escalating at an alarming and unsustainable pace. Without an end to the fighting and a massive scale-up of aid, millions more risk being pushed to the brink of starvation in the months ahead.

Add your name to Mercy Corps’ pledge to show your solidarity with civilians affected by conflict in Sudan, support efforts that deliver relief and hope, and continue to call for an end to the suffering.

In solidarity,
