060425 Tell Congress: Restore HIV funding and save lives

In a devastating blow to public health, the Trump administration has slashed over $250 million in HIV/AIDS funding—shutting down vaccine trials, halting PrEP distribution, and freezing global programs that serve millions.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • HIV vaccine research canceled: Trials at Duke and Scripps were abruptly cut midstream.

  • Global programs frozen: PEPFAR, which supports treatment for over 20 million people, is now on pause.

  • Communities at risk: These cuts disproportionately impact LGBTQ+ people, people of color, and low-income communities already facing barriers to care.

We’ve made historic progress in fighting HIV. We can’t let Trump wipe it all away.

Congress needs to hear from you: Restore the funding. Protect our progress. And put public health before politics.

In solidarity,

Nash
