Tell the NBA: Human Rights Over Profit

Right now, people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) are experiencing a catastrophic humanitarian crisis. Amnesty International has determined that the armed group M23 is torturing and killing civilians with the support of Rwanda’s government.

So what does that have to do with basketball? The NBA has a major partnership with Rwanda and could be profiting off of these grave human rights abuses.

The NBA needs to prove it puts people over profit and must demonstrate that it has done the necessary due diligence to ensure that it does not profit from this conflict and the human rights abuses involved.
