Congress is attacking one of the most important environmental protections we have — and they’re doing it to fast-track fossil fuel projects.

Here’s what’s happening:

• The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) ensures communities can review and speak out against projects that threaten public health or the environment

• Polluters and their allies in Congress are trying to gut NEPA to silence communities and eliminate environmental review

• This would allow oil and gas companies to bulldoze through new pipelines, refineries, and other dangerous projects with little public oversight
