Tell Congress: Restore Funding for Alaska's Rural Radio

Conservative politicians and Elon Musk are trying to silence Media Matters — and Congress is doing nothing to stop it.

Trump's funding cuts are shutting down KSDP in Sand Point—a radio station serving 600 Alaskans with tsunami warnings and emergency alerts. The station is losing 70% of its budget, and many more smaller member stations will bear the brunt of the Trump cuts while NPR will be able to continue on.

This is about survival. Remote Alaskan communities depend on these stations for life-saving weather and emergency information.

Tell Congress: Rural Alaskans deserve access to life-saving information.

When these stations go dark, entire communities lose their lifeline to critical safety information.
